This is a little journal I kept while making a Tesla coil for a class project. The class was 'Physics for IT Students', and it was one of the easiest classes I've had - which doesn't make me think highly of IT students! It was a great project anyway, and I learned a lot from it. This journal doesn't talk much about how things work, mostly just thoughts about what was going on, and it doesn't cover as far as actually getting the coil built. My original intent was to transmit a signal from one coil to another across a room. I still haven't been able to verify that I can do this, though I'm sure I've transmitted something.
